Alice + UKG Ready™ Integration

Alice automates pretax benefits and saves companies and their employees money, while being very easy to set up. Our ease of use (both for the company and the employees) stems from successful payroll integrations such as this. We can think of the interactions between UKG and Alice in terms of a few key data exchanges.

How to Set Up Alice

  • Setup API access in UKG Ready for Alice, and configure fields such as the company’s Short Code and EIN within Alice.
  • Setup benefit codes in UKG Ready for all the benefits that Alice offers.
  • Setup the API credentials within Alice.

Roster Sync

  • Alice figures out if a company has had any new hires, terminations, or change to employees in this step.
  • We send welcome emails to employees when we detect any new hires.
  • In the case of terminations and/or updates, we set the status of the employees appropriately within Alice.
  • This is essentially a read-only operation from the UKG perspective. Alice will not update anything within UKG Ready as a part of this step.

Push Payroll Benefits to Employees (Deductions and Additions)

  • At the end of every pay period (but before the payroll deadline), Alice will push deductions and additions to UKG Ready.
  • This is the only “update” operation from Alice to UKG Ready.
  • Alice will push pre-tax deductions and post-tax additions using previously configured benefit codes.

Reconcile Payroll Benefits

  • Once payroll has been run, Alice will read the deduction and addition amounts that were set in the prior step. We do that to account for any differences in the deduction or addition amounts on paychecks versus the ones that we had tried to push to UKG Ready.

Two Ways to Spend with Alice

Communicate with Alice

Six in ten employees say their employer’s benefits communication is difficult to understand. Alice communicates with employees by emphasizing ease of use and significant savings potential.

Employer & Employee Savings

Companies shouldn’t pay for benefits that their employees don’t use. Employers who offer pretax spending save approximately 8% of every dollar their employees spend on pretax-eligible purchases. Alice splits those savings 50/50 with the employer. Alice is and always will be free for employees.
